Time for today’s rant. I had a electro classical brought in today. The action was very high and the neck had too much bow in it. Out came the allen keys. oops some one has used too small a key or probably used an Imperial size key in a Metric socket and it has rounded out the hole. Not much can be done now with this instrument other than remove the fretboard and fit a new truss rod at a rather hefty cost. If you don’t know what you are doing….Please .”Leave it alone”

The next reoccurring problem is an Epiphone SG with no sound from one of the pick ups. This has a 90 per cent chance of being a faulty three way switch. This is one of the most common problems with this brand of electric guitars. The switch the fit as standard is c~~p. Switch cleaner is only a short term fix…
